In order for the Mythril Stone to drop, Sora needs to break every pot except for the one holding the Scorpion before starting the battle. If the player tries to push a pot and it moves, this means that the Scorpion isn't inside and can be broken freely without starting the battle. When encountering the Pot Scorpion, there will be twelve pots that Sora can attack, though the fight won't begin until he attacks the one with the enemy in it.
